Hence the need to extend the routes to the neighboring surroundings of the city: Matosinhos, Vila Nova de Gaia, Maia and Gondomar. The future hope of maintaining the traditional taverns passes through its defense and disclosure as referenced places, duly protected and classified as of patrimonial, historical, social and cultural interest. This is the main purpose of this New Guide of Taverns of Porto and Surroundings, introducing them to the population of the city and neighboring areas, as well as to national and foreign tourists who visit us.
