3rd album of the Orion Music Workshop, closing a trilogy started with Atmosôn (2021) and Mâlemort (2023). A sonic adventure between the imaginary folklore, post-industrial and fourth world / free jazz. Cette seconde brique fut un tour de force, les compositions gagnaient en épaisseur, le propos s'affinait tout en gardant son ADN industriel et bucolique. Aujourd'hui, confirmation, rebelote. Le sieur Orion touche réellement les étoiles à mesure que les disques sortent, en toute indépendance d'une industrie qui ne saurait pas où ranger notre protagoniste, encore une fois. Au départ, une formule simple, ce concept arte-povera qui voyait un joueur de flûte ancestral enfermé la nuit dans les studios de l'IRCAM pour pirater le système, intervertir les touches, ne sachant où aller si ce n'est vers une musique électronique paranormale, primitive de base mais qui monte comme des champignons hallucinogènes, transcende l'auditeur, chatouillant les sens et la transe. Aujourd'hui ce troisième acte se veut définitif, comme un condensé du meilleur de lui-même. Territoires Fluences, où les tentatives précédentes se professionnalisent dans vos oreilles, tout s'imbrique par enchantement, tout parait évident. Le facteur-cheval s'est mué en directeur de la grotte magique, les éléments typiques de Tom Val sont présents mais en plus beaux, plus incarnés. Si vous avez aimé les ambiances de ce faiseur de climats avec trois bouts de ficelles, vous succomberez à cette dernière mue. Ça gazouille, ça gratte, ça sonne juste. Un album émouvant surtout, derrière les gribouillis sonores se cache un sacré truc qui réchauffe l'âme. Il est bon de voir grandir le farfadet, quitter les jupes du lo-fi pour se loger dans la cour des grands...esprits qui se rencontrent à Brocéliande la nuit pour danser comme Saint Guy. Mention spéciale à La Théorie des événements, où l'art des collaborations se fait sentir, la contrebasse de Jeanne Gorisse copule joyeusement avec le maelstrom brut de ce Workshop unique. Cette musique ouverte à l'Autre, aux musiciens, aux poètes les plus fous ou radicaux, promet d'être passionnante pour longtemps. Territoires Fluences, where previous attempts are perfected in your ears, where everything fits together enchantingly, where everything seems obvious. The Facteur Cheval has become the director of the magic cave, the typical Tom Val elements are present but more beautiful, more embodied. If you've enjoyed the atmospherics created by the man who creates moods with three bits of string, you'll fall in love for his latest mutation. It's warbling, it's scratchy, it sounds right. Above all, it's a moving album, with something soul-warming lurking behind the sonic squiggles. It's good to see the goblin grow up, leaving the lo-fi skirts behind and move into the league of the big… spirits who meet in Brocéliande at night to dance like Saint Guy. Special mention must go to La Théorie des événements, where the art of collaboration shines through, Jeanne Gorisse's double bass joyfully copulating with the raw maelstrom of this unique Workshop.
