In July 2024, for the inauguration of the Château, the new contemporary art and heritage center in the town of Aubenas, Céleste Boursier-Mougenot created the installation from here to ear (v.25) based on the principle of this series of musical installations, the first opus of which was produced in 1999 at P.S. 1 in New York. A room in the museum is transformed into an aviary, here populated with around sixty live Australian finches, in which the visitor is invited to enter "bird territory" to remain for a moment in the company of the domestic passerines. These, going about their business, perch and hop here and there on one or the other of twelve electric guitars which are each connected to an amplifier and all tuned differently to sound together. The presence of the visitor and his movements, interacting with the behavior of the finches, determines a living musical form.
